Why We're Launching in St. Vincent First

If you've visited St. Vincent, you already know: it's one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean, and one of the hardest to get around without your own wheels.

Taxi fares are steep. Bus routes are unpredictable. Rental counters at E.T. Joshua close early and charge premium rates for vehicles that haven't been updated since 2015.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Vincentians own reliable, well-maintained cars that sit parked most of the week.

The gap we're filling

Roam connects travelers with local vehicle owners. It's the same model that transformed accommodation (Airbnb) and rides (Uber), applied to the unique realities of small-island logistics.

Here's why St. Vincent is the right place to start:

The demand is real. Tourism to SVG grew 23% in 2025, driven by the new Argyle International Airport and increased yacht traffic through the Grenadines. But ground transportation hasn't kept pace.

The supply exists. We've spoken to over 200 vehicle owners across St. Vincent who already rent informally through word of mouth, WhatsApp groups, and hotel referrals. Roam gives them a platform with verified renters, insurance, and guaranteed payouts.

The community is tight. In a country of 110,000, trust networks are strong. Early hosts recruit their neighbors. Renters recommend each other. Growth here is organic.

What comes next

Our founding host cohort is onboarding now. We're verifying vehicles, setting up insurance partnerships, and stress-testing the platform with real bookings.

Grenada and Barbados are next. But St. Vincent is where the story starts.

If you own a car in SVG and want to earn from it, apply to the pilot. If you're planning a trip, we'll be ready for you by Q3 2026.
