Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Roam platform ("Service"), operated by Roam Caribbean Inc. ("Roam", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver's license to rent a vehicle through Roam. Hosts must be at least 18 years old with valid vehicle registration and insurance in the applicable Caribbean jurisdiction (St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, or Barbados).

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate, complete information during registration and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Roam is a marketplace connecting vehicle owners ("Hosts") with renters ("Guests"). Roam is not a party to the rental agreement between Host and Guest. We do not own, operate, or insure the vehicles listed on the platform unless explicitly stated.

Guests pay the full booking amount at the time of reservation, including the daily rate, service fee, and insurance fee. Roam collects payment on behalf of the Host. Host payouts are processed after trip completion via wire transfer or Wise, less Roam's service commission (15%).

All prices are displayed in the local currency of the listing island (XCD, BBD, or USD equivalent). Cancellation policies are set per listing and disclosed before booking confirmation.

Both Hosts and Guests are required to complete identity verification through our third-party provider (Stripe Identity) before transacting on the platform. This includes a government-issued ID check and a live selfie match. Proof of valid auto insurance is also required.

Hosts represent and warrant that listed vehicles are roadworthy, legally registered, properly insured, and meet all local safety requirements. Vehicles must be model year 2010 or newer. Roam reserves the right to remove listings that do not meet our standards.

Roam facilitates trip-based insurance coverage for approved bookings. Coverage details, limits, and exclusions are provided at the time of booking. Neither Roam nor the insurance provider covers damage resulting from violation of local traffic laws, driving under the influence, or unauthorized use of the vehicle.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Provide false or misleading information
• Circumvent the platform to arrange bookings off-platform
• Use a vehicle outside the agreed-upon terms (e.g., cross-border travel without authorization)
• Sublease or transfer a rented vehicle to a third party
• Tamper with, disable, or damage a Host's vehicle

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roam shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to vehicle damage, personal injury, loss of income, or data loss.

Any disputes arising from the use of Roam shall first be addressed through our internal resolution process. If unresolved, disputes will be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, unless otherwise required by the laws of your jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
